Elodia, Pestilence and Perfect Crimes(top 10)

1.After being imprisoned, released, interviewed Elodia's husband is now in jail. Don't think it's because the cops found Elodia's body or the murder weapon. Nope. The police discovered that Cristian Cioaca logged onto Elodia's email, from her office. So they've decided to pick him up and bring him in order to asking him more questions. Also it is known that Elodia had an affair with and officer from SPP(Secret Service). So my guessing is that her husband was trying to find emails between Elodia and her lover in order to find out if she is alive or not. There is no perfect murder, without blood, without witnesses, without a dead body. And there is no murder without a body, Elodia is still missing, she's not dead. Elodia give us a sign if you're out there.

2.Michael Begon a known ecologist made a warning regarding the pestilence(the plague from 14th century called Black Death who made 75 million of victims) which is spreading in Africa right now. The plague kills each year between 100 and 200 people there and most of the time is spread be the rats. Also this plague is nothing much this days compared with car accidents and AIDS victims. So I guess it's easy to die in a robbery than by Black Death.

3.Recently in US they've put together Top 10 Perfect Crimes, the crimes that were never solved. Between them, at position 5 there is the death of Tupac Shakur(2Pac) and Charles Wallace(Notorius B.I.G.). 2Pac and B.I.G. were both gunned down in 1996(Tupac) and 1997(Charles). Even if both were shot in the street nobody was arrested. Both were shot in their cars and both received 4 bullets in their chests. It was thought that 2Pac was not dead, that he was still alive. Until now their deaths remains a mystery. R.I.P. I think this Top might come in handy as a guide on: "How to commit the perfect crime!" for those who are in the business.

Youtube, Politics and Conspirations

1.A college from Oslo was closed today after a video broadcast on Youtube.com in witch a massacre was announced. A 15 years old student from Kjenn School, who's identity was not yet revealed, admitted that he uploaded the movie clip on Youtube website. The video clip has 50 seconds, was uploaded on Saturday and removed from Youtube yesterday. In the movie clip appears the image of a school with music background and then the faces of six teachers, while a voice says: "This will happen someday, you will die!"
Yeah so that's kinda scary, knowing that you will die someday, but it's the truth. So the kid actually didn't threaten anyone. He just told them that they are going to die, thing that it's going to happen to all of us, someday, as the kid says. Yeah... got to be really scary to be intimidated by a 15 years kid. Kid's can be very scary.

2.Today, in Romania(country of all possibilities), ANES(National Agency for Chance Equality) announced that the refuse of Norica Nicolai as Minister of Justice by President Basescu could be a discrimination against women. This is very funny, because the president doesn't have a record of treating women badly, he supported some of them in their career in politics.
But because Norica Nicolai is from PNL(same political party as Ludovic Orban which by the was found to have no implication in the car accident) and PNL want to have their own man inside Ministry of Justice in order to harass those from PD and PLD, because soon the election from mayors will come. So when the president Traian Basescu refused Norica Nicolai, the prime-minister Calin-Popescu Tariceanu(PNL) began a campain against Basescu.
So it began all this scandal all trowing with mud at each other. But somewhere in the past when voting a law, Norica Nicolai sent her niece to vote in her place, because she was to busy. So maybe here niece will decide who gets prosecuted by the Justice Department, if she becomes Minister of Justice.

3.In the year 1976 occidentals were decided to stop the communism with the force. NATO was prepared to hit Italy if the Communist Party won the elections in 1976. "The Times" says that CIA was already infiltrated in Italy, being positive that the communists would win the election. So 30 something years ago NATO and CIA were fighting against the communist, big deal.
I guess that the Italians are now pissed off and think that the CIA had no right to get involved and all those paranoid stuff(maybe CIA is still there, maybe they want to do it again). So before thinking of that as a bad thing, think that you would have lived in communism for 30 years, and no democracy for you. How would have that been? Enjoyable? Think of all the country that gained democracy when the Iron Curtain felt, do you think that those people were happy on communism? Think again!

Lottery, Money and Cars

Here in Romania, only times when people win at Lottery are: on Christmas, at New Years Eve, on Easter Holiday and when there are elections. Well the pot was won on Christmas so now the prize has rise up to 10.5 millions EURO. I think the pot won't be claimed this week either. And sure it will be only one winner, this is happening to often here, nobody wins for 10 weeks and then will win only one person. So we'll need to have friends inside to Lottery to ask them: "Is there going to be a win this week? No? Well then there's no use to play!". I played the Lottery a few times and I won exactly: "nothing" just exp. to get level up. And you would say that people will stop playing seeing that they don't win, but the fact is that play even more when they lose, they don't know when to drop it. Maybe next time folks, keep playing, make the us the Lottery guys rich.

The medium salary on Romania, was in November 2007 1.121RON(one thousand one hundred twenty-one) with 34RON(3.4%) bigger than the salary from October 2007. So people earned more on November, well counting November and December as the months that people spend the most money I would say that the biggest salaries were those from sales. So Romanians didn't worked harder in November, they spent more.

As some of you know Romania is under snow so this morning there were over 40 car crashes on highway A1 and A2. On highway A1(Bucharest-Pitesti) at kilometer 14 two trucks skidded and hit other cars, about twenty cars were involved in this accident. At kilometer 54 on highway A1, that links Bucharest with Pitesti, 14 other cars were involved in a chain accident. Accident caused by the high speed and the bad weather. On the highway A2(Sun's Highway), the one that links Bucharest with Constanta, at kilometer 30 eight cars were involved in an accident similar with those from highway A1. Five people with light wounds and one person who needed to be transported to the hospital because of the injuries.
Drive safe! It's still winter and speed kills!

Blogs got credibility

One of most accessed news websites from Romania, I'm talking about 9am.ro changed their design. I was not impressed by the new design, nor have I looked too close on the website until today. Today on a closer look, I've noticed that 9am.ro has a new section called: "News From Blogs". This is the next step for the bloggers community, here I am talking about the blogs that contain something else than clips from youtube, or pictures received in emails. So I'm counting as a blog only those who have some text on their posts, text that can offer some information to those reading the blog.

Next on my line today, first wedding between bloggers is announced. VisUrat proposed Denisuca and she said "YES" their godfather will be no one else but Arhi. I was expecting that the first wedding it would be between Piticu and his girlfriend Anca, and I've found out that Piticu proposed Anca in 2006, but now it remains to see who will get married first? VisUrat with Denisuca or Piticu with Anca, maybe it will be a double wedding between the happy couples.

Comming up next: "The Pretender(2002) TV-Show Review".

Romania is under snow, lot of snow...

Romania is under snow, since Tuesday. When most of us got down from our beds and looked on the window what we could say was: "Woow! That's a lot of snow!". But the snow wasn't the problem, the problem was the wind, so ADP's cars and their plows were useless. After the cars that supposed to clean the streets, you could see how the wind was pushing the snow back in the streets. So yesterday the snow melted(some of it) and in the night froze. On the streets, if you need to go somewhere with your car, it's like hell, like a frozen hell. And let's admit it, most of people could go to work with the public transportation, and most of them are still on holiday until 7 of January. But no most of them decide to go with their car, to park in the street blocking one lane, so the ambulance has to stay 30 minutes to pass an intersection, how are they supposed to save lives in this way. Because there were cars parked in the street, that's the main problem here in Romania, parking lots, the streets were not cleaned from side to side, so guess what, garbage trucks are unable to pick the garbage from front of the stores or from garbage bins. And it's a lovely view, in the big white sea of snow you can see from place to place, little piles of garbage. Luckily that it froze so it won't smell. Oh and most of the stores are empty, cause people feared that the end of days is coming with this snow.

'Hackers' from Romania salute you!

Today I've read the far most interesting news for today: "An article published in "Los Angeles Times", based on the testimony of an eBay employee presents the city Ramnicu-Valcea as a city full with hackers". This news made me laugh, we all know that Ramnicu-Valcea(a city in south-(wild)west of Romania) doesn't have any hackers. It would be an injury addressed to hackers world-wide because Ramnicu-Valcea(residence of Valcea county) a city with a population of 107.000 is filled with scammers. This kids(some of them at least don't even know other language than Romanian) can be at most called common thief. "Albena Spasova declared that the policemen have to stay in Internet-Cafe's so they could catch the 'hackers'"(yeah, we also leave in caves and hunt hackers with bats) a thing denied by the chief of Department of Fighting Organized Crime(we also discovered broadband modems, wireless technology and ISP a few years ago, so we're sitting in our caves with our wireless laptops connected to the internet searching for dinosaurs to hunt).

So some of eBay's people came in Romania in order to clear their name(sustaining that they're not affiliated with everything happening here) so they came with US Secret Service agents to sustain their words. Albena said that she was "watched" by the Romanian hackers(kids with age between 15 and 22) when she was on Romania(I guess kids can be very scary here in Romania).

My advice for those who call themselves "victims of the Romanian hackers":
- never buy an iPod/laptop/watch/phone/anything with 50$-100$(you'll get at most a potato or a rock in a box);
- never tell your Credit Card information(cvv, pin, expiration date, card number, account holder) to anyone;
- don't send money to you mail-ordered bride, she won't come to US(because you're fat and ugly);

Respect these three rules and you'll never get scammed again.

"L.A. Times" says:
Computer experts
Romania is a grim place in more ways than one. Former pro-Nazi regime, then Soviet outpost, then weird Communist dictatorship and now developing nation: Per-capita income here is just one-third the European Union average. Fearing a flood of cheap labor, most European countries have barred or restricted Romanians from job hunting in their countries.

Yeah, we have a lots of computer experts(but they've left the country working for MS or Google or other IT company) that's why there are still people who doesn't know how to install a program or how to check their email. I hope that after reading this article Google, MS and Y! will move to Romania, cause it's full with experts.

P.S.
Happy New Year!

LaterEdit: "You don't know who to trust there. You can't use the hotel phone line. When you step outside, you can spot the local hackers in their cars, circling around," said Spasova, 33.

You can spot the local hackers in their cars, circling around... that is very funny you know why? Because the surface of that city is: 89,5 km². And that means it's a small city, so when they're not scamming the boys are riding their cars(as I heard all those who perform scamming drive BMW). As a joke: "Some of them bought BMWs but they don't have driver's license and guess with who's money they bought those cars? :)

Continue loving Romania

Most of the time I don't like talking about same things over and over again, but things became really interesting the case from yesterday about Ludovic Orban. Some Press websites are talking about the sum of 3000 euro, this is the sum that a little girl received from Minister Orban to keep her mouth shut. This are the money that I make in about 10 months, and I don't have a big salary here, but are people who can gather this much money faster. So if you want to run over a little girl, get 3000 euro in your wallet and the pedal to the metal. For 3000 euro Orban get to keep his place at Ministry of Transportation and he also refused to get his resignation when Prime-Minister suggested that it would be better for him. His political party declares that the pictures with Orban's car damaged after the accident and the movie which shows Orban talking with the witnesses, the woman that it seems to be girl's grandmother and the other man(who's car he crash into). It's so easy to deny everything even when the people are showing you pictures and movies. "Ohh...so it's all fiction for you? People are getting ran over? No it's not a fact, it's fake!"

What are the opinions of the rest of citizens? Most think that Orban is guilty, others think that it's normal, that this could happen to anyone(to run someone over). Well, I don't care that the victim doesn't want to make a complain to the police, but the law here it's pretty clear: "If in a car accident there are victim, the person guilty for the accident can't leave the scene until the police arrives. He can leave the scene only to take the victim to hospital and only when there aren't any cars around. If the person guilty leaves the scene he will go to jail." Yeah... and the law also applies to Ministries and people with a lot of money.

Another news: Eighteen years ago Timisoara became first democratic city of Romania, being liberated from the domination of Nicolaie Ceausescu and the Communist Party.
"On 20 December 1989 almost 10.0000 people gathered in the center of the city and asked that the Communist power from Bucharest should leave.
The Army redraw their soldiers and their armored vehicles from the streets of Timisoara. From 20 December 1989 the citizens remain in the "Piata Operei" square, until the pressure of the demonstrations made Ceausescu to flee."

So 18 years since we've liberated from Communism and people like Orban are still making fun of the common people. Below the movie with Ludovic Orban, movie taken from http://www.hotnews.ro.

News, Wednesday 19 Dec, 2007

So, because this blog isn't only about reviews I make, today's news are:
- there is a new category called "News";
-VisUrat was fired because he told the truth;
-Cristian Nemescu's killer gets 7 years and deportation;
-Ludovic Orban claims he is the victim, after running over a 17 year old girl(LE: girl has 14 years);

1. As in today I've decided that this blog won't be only about reviews, so "News" category is here. :) "News" category will mainly contain news about my country: Romania, because all the good and bad happens here. :) And mostly because I like it here most of the time, when everybody smiles and they make you feel welcomed, but there are also downsides. About the good and the bad on "News".

2. VisUrat, a famous blogger from Romania, was threaten that he will be fired because he disturbed some important politicians. This is not the first time VisUrat is fired because he refuses to stop his writing about politics. I can only hope that VisUrat won't get down because of this and he will continue his writing. As for the politicians? There are not enough words to express the hate we feel towards you. This article was found on Arhi's Blog.

3. Cristian Nemescu was a young Romanian film director who died over a year and half ago in car crash. His taxi was hit by a Porsche Cayenne, drove by British citizen Ali Imran. In the crash died three: the driver Dumitru Arustei(24 years), Cristian Nemescu(27 years) and sound engineer Andrei Toncu(28 years). Cristian Nemescu's latest movie was California Dreamin'(Endless) starring Armand Assante. It took Romanian justice one year and three months to convict Ali Imran to seven years of prison and after serving his time will be deported back to his country. Seven years, for killing three human beings, driving with 63km over the legal limit, passing on red light and driving without license plates.

4. Ludovic Orban is a Romanian dignitary who is accused by Romanian Press of hitting a 14 years old girl and then running from the place of the accident after bribing the girl's mother. Orban is the Minister of Transportation, Vice-president of communications and public relations, Vice-mayor of Bucharest(the capital city of Romania). After the Press found out about what Orban has done, he declared that he was not driving that day, but his driver. Then he declared that there was no victim in the car accident, and he is a victim of the Press. The witnesses of the accident declared that Orban hit the little girl and another car, then he flee the place of the accident. For this he should go to jail, that if he was a regular person.

Next time, when we'll be asked why are we leaving Romania I'll answer: "Because Romania it's a great country and I don't deserve living in it!"
